YOGA TEACHERS -

We are always open to have new teachers join our team! If you are interested in working at HYR as a yoga teacher, here is some basic criteria that we are looking for in order to have you demo with us:

  • You are a 200 hour certified yoga teacher

  • You have been teaching Power Vinyasa, Yin or Restorative (whichever style you are looking to teach) for at least 1 year in a yoga studio environment

  • You have practiced at HYR for at least one month and determined that the culture is a great fit for you. It is just as important that HYR is the right place for you as you are for us!

  • You are extremely reliable, will always show up at least 20 minutes early for your scheduled class time prepared to teach, connect with the community and be available for questions, comments, and concerns from students

Karma yogis -

Be the smiling face of our studio in exchange for free yoga, surrounded by an incredible community!

According to the Bhagavad Gita, Karma yoga is the spiritual practice of "selfless action performed for the benefit of others". Karma yoga is a path to reach moksha (spiritual liberation) through work.

The role of our Front Desk/Karma Yogi Team is to:

- support the HYR community by wholeheartedly welcoming students to our studios and making them feel at home

- keep the energy in our space high with our signature ‘work hard and stand for each others greatness’ atmosphere

- support smooth operations and health safety by keeping our locations exceptionally clean

- check in guests for class

- answer questions about our studio and pricing

- facilitate our boutique sales

- elevate the students’ experience at HYR to the next level

- support our teachers

We respect and are so grateful for our Front Desk/Karma Yogis and consider this one of the most important roles on our team!

- You are the embodiment of what we stand for and are passionate about - connection, love, growth, hard work and community.

- You practice yoga at our studios a minimum of 3-5 times per week and have been a part of our community for a minimum of two months.

- You connect with HYR and are willing to commit to this role as a priority in your life.

- You stand for your own and others’ growth, and feel called to support and grow our community.

- You would love to eventually teach at HYR.

The position is paid. If you work at least 4 hours per week you also receive an unlimited yoga membership to practice at both HYR locations.

Practicing at HYR

Pre-Registration is Required for in-studio classes - With classes filling and having a waitlist, we need to be mindful of everyone’s schedule. Please be sure to pre-register for all in-studio classes. If you can no longer make it to class, please visit the “My Account” tab or use the Mindbody app to cancel your reservation.

Please come on time for class - pre-registration is only good until the class’s posted start time. At that time your spot may be given to a waitlisted student or staff member who waited to see if a spot opened up. It is best to come 5-10 minutes prior to class start time so you have time to get set up and settled on your mat.

Equipment for class - We have blocks and straps available for your use. Rental mats are now available for $5 - For all in-studio classes - Yoga mat required, large towel recommended, blocks optional but awesome. You can get these items cheap at target, 5-below and even walgreens. Some of our favorite premium brands are also available for purchase in the studio!

Cancellation FEES for In-Studio Classes: You must cancel no less than 2 hours before your scheduled class or you will be charged the following:

  • All Unlimited Members: $10 Cancelation fee will be automatically charged to your credit card

  • Class Card/Drop-In Clients: Reserved class will be forfeited and cannot be used for a later time

Please manage your reservations mindfully!
